Welcome to Ratio Ombre!
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ratio Ombre website and any purchases made through it. Throughout these Terms, the words "we", "us" and "our" refer to Ratio Ombre.
By accessing our website or placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website.
These Terms do not affect any statutory rights you have under UK consumer law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1. Eligibility
By using our website you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian;
- all information you provide is accurate and up to date;
- you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account details you create with us.
2. Our Products
Each Ratio Ombre candle is hand poured using natural soy wax and essential oils.
Due to the handmade nature of our products, slight variations in colour, finish, fragrance intensity and appearance may occur. These variations are natural and are not considered defects.
We make every effort to display colours and product images accurately, however colours may vary depending on your device or screen settings.
Product descriptions, pricing and availability may change without notice.
3. Placing an Order
When you place an order you are making an offer to purchase our products.
A contract between you and Ratio Ombre is only formed when we send you an Order Confirmation email confirming your order has been accepted.
If we are unable to fulfil your order for any reason, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and issue a full refund where payment has already been taken.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where we reasonably believe fraudulent activity has occurred.
4. Prices and Payment
All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (£).
- Ratio Ombre is not currently VAT registered. VAT is therefore not charged.
Delivery charges are shown separately during checkout.
Payment must be received in full before your order is dispatched.
We reserve the right to amend prices at any time. Any changes will not affect orders already accepted.
5. Delivery
Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance only.
While we aim to dispatch orders promptly, delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including courier delays, adverse weather or public holidays.
Risk in the goods passes to you once they are delivered to the delivery address you have provided.
Ownership of the goods remains with Ratio Ombre until full payment has been received.
6. Returns and Cancellation
If you are purchasing as a consumer within the United Kingdom, you may have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Exceptions may apply where products have been personalised or otherwise exempt under applicable legislation.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
7. Product Safety
Candles must always be used responsibly.
Please follow all candle care and safety instructions supplied with your purchase.
Ratio Ombre accepts no responsibility for damage or injury resulting from misuse, failure to follow safety guidance or use contrary to our instructions.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep candles away from children, pets and flammable materials.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including logos, photographs, product descriptions, graphics, branding and text, belongs to Ratio Ombre unless otherwise stated.
You may not reproduce, copy, distribute or commercially exploit any content without our prior written permission.
9. Third-Party Services
Our website may include links to third-party websites or services.
We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
Any use of third-party services is at your own risk.
10. Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using our website you agree to the collection and processing of your information as described in that policy.

If you submit reviews, comments or feedback, you grant Ratio Ombre permission to use them for marketing and promotional purposes.

Subject to the above, Ratio Ombre shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of our website or products.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant order.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
15. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where such delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to industrial disputes, severe weather, pandemics, natural disasters, interruptions to transport networks or failures by suppliers or couriers.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The latest version will always be available on our website.
Continued use of the website following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where you are entitled to bring proceedings in another part of the United Kingdom under applicable consumer law.
